11 Potomac Valley Association boxers and 5 South Atlantic boxers will be in action tonight in Pittsburgh, PA on the first night of the 2010 East Central Regional Junior Olympic Tournament. 2010 National Golden Gloves Finals Set in Little Rock

Here are the results from Friday's semifinals and the winners will advance to tomorrow:
3 DC area boxers will advance.
Antonio Russell will face 2-time Olympian and World Champion Raushee Warren. Warren was a teammate of Russell's older brother Gary on the 2008 US Team in Beijing. Russell is looking to join his brother as a national champion. Allan Russell faces Mohamed Adam of Michigan. David Grayton faces Errol Spence, the defending US National and Golden Gloves Champion. D'mitrius Ballard Gloves Campaign Ends

D'mitrius Ballard has just lost his semifinal bout at National Golden Gloves championships tomorrow night to Terrell Gausha of Clevland, Ohio. Gausha is the #1 US Senior boxer after winning the US Nationals last year. Ballard will finish in the top 4 for the tournament which included 28 of the national top 165lbs. boxers. The two boxer may meet each other again in the US Nationals in July.

David Grayton Advances to National Golden Gloves Finals

David Grayton has just advanced to the finals after beating Leandre White of Detriot, Michigan. He will take on Errol Spence of De Soto, Texas in the finals tomorrow.

Russell Brothers Advance to National Golden Gloves Finals

Both Antonio and Allan Russell have advanced to the National Golden Gloves Finals tomorrow night, both looking to join their older brother Gary as National Golden Gloves Tournament of Champions title holders. In the 114lbs. division Antonio Russell defeated Hector Colon of Orlando, Florida. In the 141lbs. division, Allan defeated Robert Easter Jr. of Toledo, Ohio. Hopefully David Grayton and D'mitrius Ballard will join the Russell's and put 4 DC Area boxers in the finals tomorrow.

4 DC Area Boxers Advance in Day 2 at National Golden Gloves

White Antonio Russell (114lbs.) and David Grayton (152lbs.) both had byes today as their divisions competed, Kevin Rivers (132lbs) and Jerry Odom (178lbs.) won their opening bouts to advance to the next round of competition. Odom won by RSC in the first round, definitely making a statement in the first National Golden Gloves action of his career. Full results will be posted in this thread once available.
