1988 Olympic Trials Ray Mercer vs. Tommy Morrison

Ray Mercer defeating Tommy Morrision by a split decision in the 1988 Olympic Tirals. Tommy Morrison started fighting in Toughman competitions from age 13 to 19. He won 49 out of 50 before he started amateur boxing in 1976. By 1988, he had a record of 222-20. As a professional he won the IBO and WBO Heavyweight Title. Mercer won the Gold Medal in the 1988 Olympics and finished his amateur career with a record of 64-6.
