US Olympic Team Trials Day One Results

5 DC Area boxers advance to the semifinals of the US Olympic Team trials in Mobile, Alabama today, while 2 boxers lost and will continue in the challengers brackets tomorrow and box there way to the finals to be held on Friday. The DC area boxers are in red below.

Open Bouts for US Olympic Trials Set

7 DC Area boxers will compete today including two facing each other (Shaborn Ryals and Jerry Odom in the 178lbs. division). The trials are a double elimination tournament with winners continuing to the winners bracket and boxers who lose their 1st bout advancing to the determine who will face the winners bracket champion in the finals.
